Painting is an opening, an
invitation to play with artistic elements and aspects of myself and my
world, rarely knowing where it will lead me. Some of my paintings are
inspired by landscape or figures, others more abstract, but all come
from a place of deep attunement to a creative centre. Many of my
paintings touch into the dimension of spirit, myth and archetype.
My painting is inspired by the world around me both internal and
external, the seen and unseen. Forms in my work vary from totally
abstract to the recognizable based on nature and figures. Symbols,
archetypal energies, and myth often weave themselves in and out of my
work, at times playfully and other times in an unconscious way prompted
by a creative searching.
Colour is an invitation for me to intuitively play with paint
and textures which lead to a dialogue with the painting to see what
might emerge. This dialogue might take me to the unknown realms beyond
the everyday and is what continually excites me as a painter. Energies
and feelings are explored, contemplated and given form at times pulling
in other media such as collage or acrylic. Magic and alchemy might
happen and hopefully this can dance between the art, the painter, and
the viewer.

of the spirit and collective unconscious, tapping into myth and
archetype. Her work has been described as magical, spiritual, inspiring
and colourful. She loves watercolour and playing with mixed media,
allowing for an ongoing dialogue between the paint, the image and
unknown aspects of herself. She teaches ongoing watercolour classes,
has a private expressive arts therapy practice and paintings can be
